Notice of Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the membership of the Rotary Club of Lansing Foundation will be held during the regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Lansing at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30th, 2023. Business to come before the membership will include a report on the Foundation's activities during the past year, as well as the election of members to the Foundation's Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee report of the foundation will be presented to recommend the following individuals to the membership as nominees for the Foundation's Board of Directors, to serve for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2023:

Courtney's Farewell Tour

Mark your calendars for June 23, 2023, at LCC for Courtney’s Farewell Tour. This meeting will surely mark the apex of her year as Club President and will feature the Past Presidents (quasi musical group) and of course a little humor at the President’s expense. Family friendly event, the days of R rated comedy at the president’s expense are mostly over.

Ken Beachler's Funeral

There will be a visitation on Friday, June 23rd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Peoples Church, 200 West Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. On Saturday, June 24 at Peoples Church there will be visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Please meet at the back lobby of the Church at 10:50 a.m. to walk in together and sit together to make our statement of "Thanks" for Ken Beachler.

Editarian Report for June 16, 2023

On this slightly overcast but mild June day, our Rotary Club met outside at Rotary Park in downtown Lansing for a barbecue extravaganza. Rotarians arrived early and stayed late, visiting in a relaxed setting that involved no formal agenda. There was much laughter and camaraderie with more than a few wandering up the steps to seek ice cream in the newly-renovated Lansing Shuffle! Even Irv Nichols, on his new knee, was spied going up the stairs!

If you have not yet had a chance to attend one of these outdoor gatherings, I highly recommend coming when you can! I cannot imagine a better way to enjoy the nice weather while meeting and chatting with Rotarians with whom I had not yet spent much time.
