Biography for Mitchell L. Tomlinson
Mitchell L. Tomlinson has been with Peckham, Inc., since 1976, and has been the CEO since 1994. He earned a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
 
Tomlinson’s accomplishments include creating new partnerships with Michigan State University, participating in a Harvard Business Review case study of best practices in non-profits, and overseeing a growth of more than 1000% in revenues.
 
Mitch’s accolades include the Management Excellence Award from the National Council of Work Centers, the Award of Excellence from the Michigan Rehabilitation Conference and the Business Man of the Year Award from the South Lansing Business Association.
 
In 2010, he received the John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Award, Special Achievement Award for Peckham’s significant contributions to the industry and community as well as the Socially Responsible Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Peckham has won several honors for excellence including the NISH (SourceAmerica) Performance Excellence in Assistive Technology and Government Service Award and the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility, for three consecutive years.
 
Mitch serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center; he also serves on the Advisory Committees of the Rehabilitation Counseling Program, and the Center for Research in Autism, Intellectual, and other Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (C-RAIND) at Michigan State University. Mitch is a board member and past president of the 501 Alliance, as well as a member of the Lansing Board of Water and Light (BWL) General Managers Round Table.  He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Capital Area Manufacturing Council.
Biography for George Alonso
George Alonso joined Peckham in 2017.  Previous to joining Peckham, George held various leadership positions at Hewlett-Packard.  During his eighteen year career at HP, he led global B2B units in the development, launch and growth of various printing and imaging industry sectors.  George brings a vast portfolio of experience in building successful brands and marketing strategies to our organization,  He has a passion for serving others, and is thrilled to be given the opportunity to drive Peckham's mission forward.  George earned is BA in Economics from California State University San Bernardino, and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Rotary Club of Lansing Book Drive
The Special Projects Committee is organizing a book drive during the month of April! Books will be donated to the Early Literacy Program at the Ingham ISD to reach students in the Lansing School District.
 
Your book donations can be brought to a Club meeting throughout the month of April and the first meeting in May!  The books will be presented to the school kids before summer break. Thanks for your support!!
