David Arnosti is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Michigan State University. A native of Milwaukee, WI, he obtained his undergraduate education at Lawrence University, followed by graduate studies at UC Berkeley, and postdoctoral training in Zurich and San Diego. Since 1996, Dr. Arnosti’s laboratory has conducted research on mechanisms of gene regulation, supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health. Recent work has focused on tumor suppressor proteins, and computational analysis of DNA regulatory elements. He regularly speaks at international venues, has organized national conferences on gene regulation and evolution, and is a panelist for NIH and NSF grant review panels. Internationally, he has been a guest professor at the Universities of Cologne and Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. At Michigan State University, Dr. Arnosti leads classes in Molecular Biology for graduate and undergraduate students.
