Graham Couch, sports columnist for the Lansing State Journal is a Lansing native and a product of Verlinden Elementary through St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Sexton High School, and LCC. After graduating from Columbia College in Chicago, he worked at newspapers in Freeport, Illinois and Kalamazoo, MI. He briefly covered MSU sports for MLive.com (formerly Booth Newspapers) before seeing an ad one day for a job that had always been on his bucket list – sports columnist for the Lansing State Journal. He began working there in September of 2012 and says it is everything he hoped.
