A fifth-generation farmer, Abby Vittore is the marketing coordinator for Carpenter Farms Greenhouse and their garden center in Adrian, Barrett’s Showplace Gardens & Flower Shop. The Lenawee County Farm Bureau member offers, among other crops, pumpkins, hanging baskets, and bedding plants, having expanded into agritourism in 2008 to diversify business operations.
Vittore earned her agribusiness and agronomy degree from Michigan State University in 2016. Abby Vittore has served as the 2024 State Young Farmer Committee chair for Michigan Farm Bureau and serves on the Michigan Farm Bureau Board of Directors (which is made up of 17 farmer members from across the state). Previously, Vittore served on her county Farm Bureau board of directors and was their Young Farmer chair in 2021. Outside of Farm Bureau, she is involved with her local 4-H, FFA, and, when she finds the time, gardening. Vittore and husband Ben live near Britton with their daughter, Rosie. Founded on Feb. 4, 1919, Michigan Farm Bureau has served as the voice of Michigan agriculture for more than a century.
