The Greater Lansing Ballet Company has been presenting dance performances in the mid-Michigan community for more than 30 years. GLBC is part of the larger dance community at the Greater Lansing Academy of Dance, directed by Jim McEwan and Kailen Berry. GLAD offers a variety of dance classes for adults and children of all ages. GLAD also offers other performance opportunities for youth through its competitive wing, GLAD-Competitive, and for adult and college dancers through Elements Contemporary Dance.Greater Lansing Ballet performs the "Ratcracker" this weekend, Dec 15th-17th, at Eastern High School.
Today we are joined by members of GLBC's professional and collegiate divisions for a Ratcracker Sneak Peak. Today's selections include the Moths, who the Rat Princess encounters with Fritz in the magical kingdom. We're also visited by the Royal Rats themselves, and the Rat Princess dances a grand pas de trois with the Rat Queen and Rat King.
