CONGRATULATIONS PAT!!!
Mentorship Opportunity
One of the ways the membership committee is looking at maintaining the overall health of the club is by making sure that new members have a positive experience. A mentor can help with that challenge. We’re looking for volunteers to say “I’ll mentor a new member.” What does this entail?

First, let me know you’re willing and then, when we get a new member we will assign a mentor to that new member. What do we expect of our mentors? Reach out to your assigned new member at a meeting, send them an email, meet them for lunch, call them on the phone and basically make yourself available to answer questions and give some guidance about what your experience has been as a Rotarian. It basically boils down to be lets be more user friendly for new members so they can enjoy the benefits of club membership more by understanding the club and foundation better. Please reach out to me to let me know your interested in mentoring a new member. Kevin Schumacher schumacher@glassenrhead.com
Annual Holiday Party
Rotarians, the Annual Holiday Appeal is upon us! The money donated will help fund the 99th Annual Holiday Gift for the special needs children of Gardner Elementary. While the anticipated donation is $100/each, no donation is too large or too small. It is hoped that the club will have 100% participation! Donations may be made by check, credit card or online. Make your donation today and help make the children’s holiday a happy one!  CLICK HERE

Editarian Report for Thursday, November 17, 2022
Twas the week before Thanksgiving, in the LBC Stock-house, with only Ann/John Cauley attending with their spouse.

Beverages were poured and food was devoured. Snow fell outside, ensuring our drives home would take hours.

A visiting Rotarian from East Lansing wore a jaunty cap. Suan Angel wore matching boots, having traded in her medical boot that healed her unfortunate snap.

An editarian with her iphone notepad handy, captured the following phrases that seemed quite dandy.

1. “I’m so happy I’m not hosting for thanksgiving - and get to just show up with a green bean casserole!”
2. “On December 1st there is a celebrity chef night at Urban Beat and on December 3 there is a holiday hullabaloo in Old Town with lots of activities all over.”
3. “The cookie classes at Bradley’s sell out FAST!”
4. “The (LBC) Beaumont Brown is pretty good.”
5. “I just came to meet chicks.”
6. “Is there any more pizza?”
7. “Suddenly it’s WINTER!”
8. “Rotary is awesome!”

REMINDER: NO MEETING next week!
