Re’Shane Lonzo is the Founder and CEO of Lonzo Development Group and co-owner of DRM International Learning Center in Lansing. She leads two transformative corridor-revitalization projects—The Iris and 1001 W. Saginaw, that blend affordable, workforce, and missing-middle housing with childcare, workforce training, small business space, and community services.
As co-owner of DRM International Learning Center, now celebrating over 20 years of service, Re’Shane has helped thousands of individuals build new careers in healthcare, construction trades, and other high-demand industries. DRM provides pathways to certification, employment, and economic mobility for youth and adults across Michigan, bridging education and opportunity for working families.
Re’Shane’s mission is deeply personal. Having become a mother at 14 and experiencing periods of homelessness and childhood hunger, she knows firsthand the struggles of navigating systems not built for those who start life with limited resources. Those early challenges shaped her life’s work—to build stability, create opportunity, and ensure others never have to choose between housing, food, and hope.
Her projects are designed to do more than construct buildings—they connect housing, childcare, education, and workforce training to create holistic pathways toward self-sufficiency. A 25+ year entrepreneur and educator, Re’Shane is known for assembling creative financial stacks and cultivating partnerships across public, private, and philanthropic sectors to deliver measurable community impact.
Guided by her belief to “lift as I climb,” Re’Shane mentors emerging developers, advocates for equitable access to capital, and speaks statewide on inclusive development, economic mobility, and building communities through compassion and collaboration. She continues to live and invest in Lansing, where she is helping transform local neighborhoods into places of opportunity, dignity, and hope.
